Patent Wars: a new infographic
MBAONLINE.COM has published the following infographic (amazing numbers to make one think):
I like the way that the areas of the circles comparing $1m, $2.5m, $21m and $60m bear no relationship to the values in them. Is this graphic really about tech patents, or is it actually a clever satire on the failure of the MBA / business consultancy sector to understand the commoditisation of technology and intellectual property in the modern era?
It's reassuring that MBAs can create a nice presentation that doesn't really say much about the topic in any meaningful way. McKinsey will do right by hiring them.
